Kindle Fire vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, which is better?

Amazon has finally announced its first Android tablet with a 7-inch display called Kindle Fire. Will the Kindle Fire be competitive for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7? Let’s consider both internal specifications, in order to see how well Amazon’s first tablet will face the competition.

Both tablets have the same display size, though the Galaxy Tab 7.7 succeeds to impress with its Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen plus a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels that makes it very clear and bright, while Amazon Kindle Fire includes an IPS technology and anti-reflective treatment plus 1024 x 600 pixel resolution.

Display:

The Kindle Fire has a resolution of 1,024 x 600 with 7-inch IPS LCD multi-touch screen.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 gets the accolade of having the best display with 7.7-inch a Super AMOLED Plus display and a 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution screen.

Weight:

The Kindle fire weighs 413 grams.

Considering Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab 7.7 will have about 335 grams.

Resolution:

Kindle Fire with 1024 x 600 resolution

Samsung’s tablet-sized 7.7 inch, 1280 x 800 resolution.

Processor:

Kindle Fire is equipped with a dual-core processor with Texas Instruments OMAP chip and clocked at 1GHz.

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has ARM Cortex-A9 processor with Samsung’s own chipset, the Exynos.

The Amazon Kindle Fire is expected to have a 512MB of memory and 8GB of internal memory which is average.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has variations in capacity and you can choose from 16, 32 and 64GB models.

Camera and Video:

The Kindle Fire only connects to the web via Wi-Fi, there is no cellular 3G data.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is with  8MP rear-camera and 2 MP front-camera

Connectivity:

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is not yet announced the price Samsung.

Conclusion:

If you want a cheap tablet, but hope it will bring a similar experience on the Kindle Fire Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is not a choice. Kindle Fire worthy in the first position if necessary to talk about a content provider. However, Amazon will have to overcome the fundamental weaknesses as a 3G connection to be able to better compete with Samsung Galaxy Tablet 7.7
