Hello. I have a Panasonic Lumix that I recorded about 80 short clips on. The quality is definitely better, but now it won't upload to my computer Movie Maker. Could it be my computer's fault? If you could give me extremely detailed info (I'm not too knowledgeable on computer/camera-type stuff,), that'd be real swell!
That’s because Movie Maker is limited on the file types it can deal with. It mainly supports AVI, WMV video format, Panasonic Lumix camcorder records AVCHD video clip which is not compatible with Movie Maker. You’re going to need a good video conversion program to convert your videos into a format that can be used with Movie Maker, such as MPG, AVI or WMV format.
Copy the video files to the computer; use a transcoder like Lumix AVCHD to Windows Movie Maker converter to convert the video files to AVI, WMV. Then bring the converted files into Movie Maker for editing.
AVCHD to Windows Movie Maker converter won’t reduce the quality which allows you to do some settings to keep original quality such as customize the Bitrates, Frame Rate, Encoder, and Resolution, and you can trim, clip, crop, edit Panasonic Lumix camcorder video.
